Livestock Mortality

A Livestock Mortality policy provides the insured with the option to purchase coverage for all risks of full mortality. Coverage is extended for theft and unlawful removal of animals.

Verus Claims

Livestock Motor Truck Cargo

Policy provides broad form coverage for losses to animals in transit that are your property or the property of others. Loss includes death, humane destruction, crippling, bruising, injury and/or escape of animals while in the due course of transit. Policy is extended to pay for salvage and recovery expenses, debris removal expenses, freight charges, theft, loss of value, and losses that occur due to vehicle breakdown or during loading and unloading.

Livestock Care, Custody and Control

Policy provides liability coverage for losses caused by death, injury or theft of non-owned livestock in the insured’s care, custody and control that they become legally obligated to pay the owner of the livestock.

Livestock Auction Market

Policy provides coverage against accidental death and/or injury of livestock while at a scheduled location or in the due course of transit. Coverage extensions for carcass removal expenses, salvage and recovery expenses, theft, loss during loading and unloading, and death of livestock due to a named peril if they escape or stray from a scheduled location.
